Had a nasty bug on my laptop. It ran slower than molasses in Vermont in the middle of winter. I had done everything I could think of. Being a college student, I needed my laptop for school work and it was finals week when I figured out it had an issue. My regular anti-virus software didn't find anything. Even the computer diagnostics didn't find anything. I saw this book and read it. OMG! I managed to fix my computer in about a day. Most of this time was from waiting patiently (or impatiently) on it to run the scans.However this part may not have been mentioned, you need to run the stuff in safe mode. Easiest fix ever.
